When you have a deferred debit card, once a month, a single global transaction covering all your expenses for the current month is debited from your main account (usually your current account).
If you have a deferred debit card, you may encounter the following two situations on Okimia.
I don't have the details of my deferred debit card transactions on Okimia
To obtain the details of the transactions that make up the total deferred debit charge, simply connect the bank account associated with your deferred debit card.
To do so, follow these steps:
Log in to your Okimia account;
Click on the "Banks" button;
Click on the settings icon of the relevant bank;
Click on "Update the connection";
Once redirected to our provider Powens' interface, select the deferred debit card account and synchronize it.
Does my deferred debit transaction duplicate the individual bank transactions?
For this question, two scenarios are possible:
Case 1: The transaction does not duplicate the details from the card account
The global transaction debited at the end of the month is offset by a positive transaction of the same amount (generated by the card account).
Example:
04/05/2022 CB 0123XXXX789 Tot Dif April -2089.79€ (current account)
04/05/2022 CB 0123XXXX789 TOT DIF April +2089.79€ (card account)
Case 2: The transaction duplicates the details from the card account
The global transaction debited at the end of the month duplicates the individual transactions from the card account.
Why do these two scenarios exist?
This depends on the bank in question. Okimia retrieves the information sent by your bank with exact accuracy.
How do I know which scenario applies to me?
Go to the "Transactions" tab;
Click on the filter button, then click on "Accounts";
Select only the deferred debit card account;
Check for the presence of positive global transactions (amounts similar to the global deferred debit transactions).
Example: 04/05/2022 CB 0123XXXX789 TOT DIF April €2089.79
What if there are positive global transactions?
In this case, the deferred debit transaction charged at the end of the month does not duplicate the transaction details obtained through the card account synchronization. You can therefore leave the Okimia account as is, but we nonetheless recommend archiving or deleting the two offsetting transactions to avoid distorting your monthly income and expenses (inflated by the global transactions in question).
What if there are no positive global transactions?
In this case, simply archive the deferred debit transaction that duplicates the individual transactions retrieved from the card account, so that your monthly outgoings are not distorted.
