To apply a recurring discount to a line item in your forecast (for example, -30% on a revenue category for all upcoming months), use a customizable formula:
1. On the Dashboard in table view, click the “Fx” button to the left of the relevant subcategory’s label.
2. Click “Add a formula” and name it (e.g., “30% Discount”).
3. Enter the settings:
Value: Enter the discount percentage (a negative value, e.g., -30%).
Start Date: The first month covered.
Recurrence: monthly, so that the discount is automatically applied to all subsequent months.
4. Confirm.
Formulas can be stacked: this discount formula is added to any other formulas already on the row. You can modify, disable, or delete it at any time. If you’d rather set a specific value for a single month, enter the amount directly into the cell: this manual entry will override the formula in that cell only.
